What are Fire Extinguisher Safety Devices?

Fire Extinguisher Safety Devices usually the following safety devices are incorporated in the design of Soda acid extinguisher.

Types of Fire Extinguisher Safety Devices

Here are the type of fire extinguisher safety devices mentioned below -

(A) Vent Holes:

These are small holes drill in the side of the head through the screw Threads as the gap is unscrew, these holes communicate with the interior of the container and the design is such that any Residual will guess pressure will discharge through them while the head is still held in position by the threads. They must be kept there of dirty and metal polish and capable of fullfilling their function.

(B) Snifter Value:

This is a valve communicating between the air space in the extinguisher and the atmosphere outside the permits the very small quantity of air to escape where the internal pressure rise slightly due to increase in the ambient temperature.

It is a ball or rubber composition disc which rest rightly on an orifice connecting with the body of the extinguisher when the extinguisher is operated the Hai internal pressure lift the ball or disk firmly and seals the outlet.
Other similar devices in the form of expansion chamber for a thin rubber diaphragm I might also be provided.

Water (Gas Cartry) type:

In this type the outer container is similar to Soda acid extinguisher and holds 2 gallcns ( 9 ) litre of water but the gas ( excellent ) is release from an inner container ( cartridge). It has a sealing disc at the top which is pierced by a pointed Striker at the lower end of ten plunger,  when the extinguisher is operated. The extinguisher is usually operated upright. The details detail of discharge rate tube, the safety devices are preciously the same as for Soda acid extinguisher.

(NRV) Non-Return Valves | Check Valves - Symbol, Types and Importance

(NRV) Non Return Valve A Non- Return Valves , check valve , clack valve, non- return valves , reflux valve, retention valve or one-way valve is a  valve that normally allows  fluid  ( liquid or gas ) to flow through it in one direction only.    Non  - Return valve/ Check valve are two-port valves, meaning that they have two openings in the body, one to enter the  fluid and the other to release the liquid. Types of (NRV) Non - Return Valves There are various types of check valves/non-return valve used in a wide variety of applications.  Non- return valves are often part of common household items.   Although they are available in a wide range of sizes and costs, Non - Return valve are generally very small, simple or inexpensive. Non - Return valve operate automatically and most are not controlled by an individual or any external control;  Accordingly, most have no valve handle or stem. The bodies (outer shells...

Follow the manufacturer instruction when a erecting the scaffold. Do not work on scaffold outside during strong or windy weather. Do not climb on skype old that wobble or lean to one side. Initially inspect the scaffold prior or mounting it. Do not use a scaffold if any pulley, block, hook or fitting is visible worn, cracked, rusted, or otherwise damaged. Do not use any scaffold if any rope is frayed, torn or visibly damaged. Do not use any scaffold tagged "Out of Service". Do not use unstable objects such as barrel's, boxes, loose brick or concrete block to support scaffold or planks.  Donot work on platform or scaffold unless they are fully planked. Do not use a scaffold unless...

Introduction of Electricity | Fundamentals of Electricity | E.M.F Electromotive Force | Current | Resistance | What is Ohm's Law ?

ELECTRICITY General introduction of Electricity : Electricity is something really cannot be seen but its effect of felt. It may be define as a farm of energy energy can either be destroy not it can be generated it can only be converted from one from of energy to the another electricity is generated by converting other forms of energy that is thermal it energy nuclear energy and energy store in water potential energy similarly electricity can also be converted into other useful forms of energy visit energy mechanical energy light energy extra which find a wonderful application in our day to day life Fundamentals of Electricity : Electricity maybe define as the flow of electrons. The continue slow of electrons true and conductor is known as current and part of it flow is termed as electrical current. The dynamic electricity currencies of two times director and ( dc ) alternate current( ac ). The direct current always flows from positive terminal to negative. E.g. B...
